 Together the Tate Brothers have amassed 25 years of knowledge and experience, both in front and behind the camera, in the entertainment industry. They have attained key, solidifying relationships with premier talent, producers, executives, directors, writers and musicians.

They recently launched TateMen Entertainment, a growing multi-media company committed to offering quality content for film, television and digital platforms. Their current slate of projects include the indie film “Beta Test,”, and the feature film “Deuces” alongside Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit Productions. Presently, a scripted audio series with Laurence Fishburne’s company, Cinema Gypsy, was released with rave reviews. We welcome the Tate brothers as they guide you through their journey into the dos and don’ts of Independent film making in Hollywood.

Real Talk with Eva Marcille

Please join us for a one on one  talk with the 2017 Newark IFF Ambassador Eva Marcille.

The  talented and beautiful Eva Marcille will discuss her transition from modeling to Film & TV.

Marcille was the winner of the third cycle of America's Next Top Model,beating fellow contestants Yaya DaCosta, Amanda Swafford, and Ann Markley. Her prizes included a CoverGirl cosmetics contract, a spread in Elle, and a modeling contract with Ford Models.

In Film and TV Marcille has guest-starred on several series on UPN and The CW Network. Her guest-star credits include two episodes of Kevin Hill, one episode of Smallville, one episode of Everybody Hates Chris, and one episode of The Game as herself. Marcille has also appeared on Tyler Perry's House of Payne.

Marcille was cast as a regular on a FOX show called The Wedding Album in 2006, but FOX cancelled it before it aired. In 2008 she joined the cast of The Young and the Restless as a young mother named Tyra Hamilton. (Contrary to speculation, Marcille's character was not named after Tyra Banks, but for The Young and The Restless' head writer Maria Arena Bell's best friend's daughter whose name is Tyra.)[9] After a few months, her character, who was planned to be temporary was made permanent. In 2009, Marcille was nominated for two NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama Series for her Y&R role but didn't get the awards. She did however win a Young Hollywood award.[citation needed]

In film, her credits include The Walk, Crossover, and, most recently, I Think I Love My Wife.She hosted the first season of the Oxygen reality series Hair Battle Spectacular in 2010.

On August 5, 2015, Marcille stars in the main cast as the role of Tara in the TV One series Born Again Virgin. In February 2016 she stars in a reality series called About the business.

Branding yourself in Hollywood with Lance Gross

Please join us for an up close and personal  conversation with one of Hollywood’s  sexiest leading men .

Join us as Lance talks about his journey through the entertainment industry and explains how to get noticed  and how to be in the right place at the right time.

Lance  began his career by modeling for Karl Kani and appearing in music videos for artists such as Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, and Mariah Carey. In 2006, he had minor roles in Eve and The Bernie Mac Show.  It was while he was performing in the Tasha Smith Acting Studio that he was discovered by Tyler Perry, who happened to be watching a night class. He was consequently cast as Calvin Payne on Perry's new sitcom House of Payne, in the show Gross plays Calvin, a young professional who has attended college for seven years. This role for which he has been awarded four NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.  2008 saw Gross make his film debut in the romantic comedy Meet the Browns. His next big screen appearance was in Our Family Wedding in 2010 alongside America Ferrera, in which they portrayed a recently engaged young couple whose wedding preparations are disrupted by their families. In 2012 he starred in the independent film The Last Fall, the story of a retired NFL player dealing with financial and family difficulties.
